1. Who we are
Rising Youth ("we", "us") is a private digital learning, career, and wellbeing platform built for Rajasthan college students. We are not a government department. We curate publicly available government information (such as RPSC notifications, University of Rajasthan curricula, and the CMYUY scheme) but the platform itself is independently operated.
2. What we collect
- Identity & contact: name, mobile number (mandatory for OTP login), optional email, and college affiliation.
- Academic profile: stream, semester, subjects of interest, career goal — used to personalise content.
- Activity: pages visited, content opened, mock-test scores, application activity, booking activity, certificates earned.
- Support & counselling: messages and bookings you send to wellness counsellors or career mentors. Anonymous queries do not capture identifying details.
- Device & technical: IP address, browser version, basic device info — used for security and abuse detection.
3. Why we collect it
- To deliver the service you asked for (login, courses, mocks, applications, sessions).
- To personalise content based on your stream, semester, and progress.
- To verify identity for jobs, certificates, and counsellor sessions.
- To improve quality, fix bugs, and detect misuse — using aggregated, anonymised data wherever possible.
4. Who we share it with
- Hiring partners only when you apply to a posting — and only the profile fields relevant to that role.
- Counsellors and mentors assigned to your sessions, limited to what they need to support you.
- Service providers who help us run the platform (hosting, SMS gateway, email delivery) — bound by data-protection contracts.
- We do not sell your personal data to advertisers.
5. Your choices
- Edit or remove most profile information from Settings.
- Turn off SMS / email / WhatsApp notifications individually.
- Request account deletion via Settings → Privacy. We delete identifiable data within 30 days; aggregated, anonymised metrics may be retained.
- Request a copy of your data by writing to privacy@risingyouth.ai.
6. How long we keep data
Active accounts: as long as your account is open. Closed accounts: 30 days from your deletion request (longer only if law requires it). Anonymous queries: kept indefinitely as anonymised public Q&A only.
7. Children
The platform is intended for college-age students (typically 17+). We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 13. If a parent or guardian believes we have, please write to us and we will remove it.
8. Security
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. Authentication uses OTP-first, plus a self-set password. Sensitive support records (wellness, anonymous queries) are stored with stricter access limits.
9. Changes to this policy
We will post any material changes on this page and announce them via the in-app notification banner. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent version.
